About

Pulses App lets you monitor heart rate live for groups and teams on iPad, iPhone, or Mac (Android planned for Q1 2026). It’s built for spinning classes, HIIT, Hyrox-style training, and team sports, giving coaches and instructors clear, real-time insight into training intensity — without costly hardware or complex setups. Pulses works with any Bluetooth-compatible heart rate band or watch. Start a session in seconds, track effort across the whole group, and review performance afterwards. A practical tool for fitness instructors and sports coaches who want better control of training load and consistency across sessions.

Key Features

Live Group Heart-Rate Overview

See every participant's heart rate and effort level in real time on iPhone, iPad or Mac so coaches can instantly spot who needs to push or recover.

Bluetooth Sensor Compatibility

Works with any Bluetooth-compatible heart-rate band or watch (Polar, Garmin, Coospo, etc.) — no proprietary hardware required.

Built-in Performance Tests

Run standardized tests like the Beep Test and YoYo test directly in the app, test up to multiple athletes simultaneously, and save results automatically.

Session Recording & Post-Session Analysis

Automatically stores session and test data per athlete for later review; use insights to manage load, prevent overtraining, and plan training progressions.

Optional Athlete Analyzer Integration

Syncs data to Athlete Analyzer for advanced planning, long-term tracking and load management when coaches want deeper analytics.

How to Use Pulses App

1) Create athlete accounts and pair each participant's Bluetooth heart-rate sensor (watch or chest strap) with the app. 2) Start a group session and add the participating athletes to the session roster. 3) Monitor the live dashboard during training to view each athlete's heart rate and effort zones; give instructions based on real-time data. 4) End the session to save results automatically; review individual and group performance in the app or optionally sync data to Athlete Analyzer for deeper analysis.

Use Cases

Spinning or indoor cycling class: Monitor the whole class in real time to ensure riders hit target zones, keep intensity consistent, and spot participants who are over- or under-performing.
HIIT and group fitness sessions: Track training intensity across intervals to avoid overtraining and make immediate adjustments to rest or load for safety and effectiveness.
Team sports practice and conditioning: Run Beep or YoYo tests to assess endurance, monitor players' training load during practice, and manage recovery across a season.
