About

The Argus Nav App turns existing DOT traffic cameras into real-time safety alerts for truck drivers. We detect crashes and abnormal slowdowns in under 10 seconds, then deliver simple, route‑aware notifications in the background while drivers use their existing navigation tools. Fleets can choose specific corridors or regions, and every alert is designed to reduce surprise events, secondary crashes, and lost time without adding distraction in the cab. Argus also surfaces truck‑specific points of interest for fleets and owner‑operators, including truck parking, fuel stops, DOT and weight scales, toll locations, hazmat road restrictions, and truck‑size‑aware routing across US and North American highways.

Key Features

Sub-10-Second Incident Detection

Computer-vision models analyze DOT camera feeds to detect crashes, stalls, hazards, and abnormal slowdowns in under 10 seconds so fleets can reroute before crowdsourced systems report the event.

Unified Traffic Ontology API

One clean, routing-ready feed that normalizes incidents from multiple sources (cameras, 511, third-party) into a consistent schema for easy ingestion by routing engines and telematics.

In-Cab Alerts & Marketplace Integrations

Pushes route-aware, low-distraction alerts directly to drivers via Platform Science, Geotab, Samsara and Motive without heavy custom integration.

Truck-Specific POIs & Routing

Surfaces truck parking, fuel stops, scales, tolls, hazmat restrictions and truck-size-aware routing across US/North American highways to support operational planning.

Flexible Integration Options

Use the ready fleet app for quick deployment or integrate the RESTful API with webhooks into existing navigation, routing, or incident management systems.

How to Use Argus AI

1) Sign up or request API access at getargus.ai and choose your path (Fleet App or API). 2) For fleets: install the Argus Nav app from your telematics marketplace (Platform Science, Geotab, Samsara, Motive) or enable the marketplace listing — no custom integration required. For developers: obtain API credentials and review the RESTful API and webhook docs. 3) Configure regions, corridors, and alert preferences (which detection types to receive and truck-aware POIs). 4) Receive route-aware, low-distraction in-cab alerts or ingest the unified incident feed into your routing engine to reroute vehicles and notify dispatch in real time.

Use Cases

Real-time rerouting for trucking fleets: Automatically reroute drivers ahead of crashes or sudden slowdowns detected by cameras to avoid delays and reduce secondary crash risk.
Dispatch & operations monitoring: Give dispatchers sub-10-second incident visibility to proactively coordinate load reassignment, ETAs, and driver safety responses.
Navigation & telematics integration: Navigation platforms and route planners ingest Argus API feeds to offer faster incident-aware routing than crowdsourced services, improving on-time performance and passenger/driver safety.
